Valuation is an integral part of several corporate, financial and regulatory processes. It may be relevant in the context of capital market transactions, corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, securities issuance and transfer, taxation, regulatory requirements, shareholder matters and other corporate events.
At Sundae Capital, our Valuation Services are undertaken through a dedicated Strategic Business Unit (SBU) comprising professionals focused on valuation assignments with the Directors also being registered with IBBI as RV (SFA). The SBU has a defined scope of activities, dedicated resources and processes designed to support the independent assessment of businesses, securities and other assets or interests.
Our valuation approach brings together financial and business analysis, industry and market assessment, security-specific characteristics and appropriate valuation methodologies to develop a reasoned basis for each valuation conclusion.

Scope of Valuation Services
Depending on the nature and purpose of the assignment, our valuation practice may cover:
- Businesses, undertakings and equity interests;
- Equity shares and other securities;
- Preference shares and other preference instruments;
- Convertible and other securities with conversion or other embedded features;
- Securities carrying specific contractual, contingent or other rights;
- Intangible assets and other specified assets, where applicable;
- Valuations undertaken in connection with corporate and strategic transactions;
- Regulatory, statutory and transaction-specific valuation requirements; and
- Other valuation assignments within the scope of applicable professional and regulatory requirements.
The scope of each assignment is determined based on the purpose of valuation, valuation date, nature of the subject matter, applicable legal and regulatory framework, information available, rights and characteristics attached to the instrument or asset, and relevant market and economic conditions.
Our Philosophy
We recognise that valuation is an exercise requiring professional judgement and cannot be approached solely as the application of a predetermined formula. Valuation should be more than a number.Accordingly, our process typically involves understanding the purpose and context of the assignment, evaluating relevant financial and operational information, assessing the business and industry environment, considering applicable valuation approaches and methodologies, and evaluating the assumptions and parameters relevant to the valuation.
A meaningful valuation should provide a reasoned, transparent and well-supported assessment, with the assumptions, methodology and underlying analysis appropriately aligned with the purpose of the assignment.
